Hey pilots! Version 1.05 is here!

Vanguard is back with another exciting update. This update has seen the introduction of some new mechanics. I gathered a lot of valuable feedback from testers and some of the most noticeable critique was that of the difficulty.  Some felt it being too hectic and chaotic at times and as I still want to keep the chaos with all the missiles and explosions for the game, I come up with an idea!

Introducing: the BARREL ROLL (super original, I know)

This quick and effective maneuver lets you get out of tight spots fast and event neglects all damage taken during its start. But as I do not want my players barrel rolling through out the level (as fun as that sounds), I have implemented a heat gauge system to balance it. This gauge will display the current heat of the mech, and each barrel roll will increase it. If you use the maneuver too much without letting your mech cool down, your mech will become overheated, disabling the ability to use your barrel roll for a short period. This makes you a lot more vulnerable to enemy fire, so be sure to not overdo it!

Here is a list of all the changes:

- FEATURES

• Barrel roll mechanic
• Heat gauge system
• New VFX for enemy explosions
• Enemy crash animations. Will add some variation to the enemy destruction

- WEAPON CHANGES

• The plasma missiles are now more accurate and faster but take a small amount of time to build speed. It should work as a neat trade off for the homing ability, as to not make them too over powered.
• The rapid fire has a new sound effect. It should make them a bit beefier.

- FIXES and BUGS

• Fixed and issue with save slots not saving properly
• Fixed a bug with options settings now saving properly
• Fixed a bug with menus overlapping. This still occurs at very specific moments and I am already working on a new solution. 

And that is all for this version! For the coming versions I will improve the level design and lengthen the missions. Maybe the ground combat will be ready to be showcased... But we will see! Thanks for reading and don't forget:
